Even when I decide to buy a game partly because it's made by an indie developer, the main reason that I buy it is because you guys reccomend it, the persons behind it are not in my mind. The closest to that is the logo of the developer. This is why I hate it when people bring up the developers and their families, they don't influence me buying a game and they shouldn't be paraded about when I don't buy a game.
It might be worth mentioning that I have never bought a used game, and I exclusively buy games of Steam, XLA or the App Store now. Developer families be damned.
