Me and the kiddo are flying to visit my brother for the weekend. At the airport, we’re going up an escalator and I notice her scalp is red and has a bunch of egg-like bumps. Fuck! I can’t in good conscience fly and visit family with a lice infestation. After getting in better light and some furious googling, I realize they don’t look like the eggs I see in the images. They look like… rocks?
I ask her if she has been putting anything in her hair.
“Oh yeah. Me and Charlotte were throwing dirt in each other’s heads at recess.”
I wanted to be mad, but I’ve never been so relieved to have my kid throwing dirt.
