It was very smooth, a very natural banter between two characters of opposing beliefs and what's more, as the game went on those two players began to grow more and more entrenched in their character and their character's beliefs. What I think a system like this does is robs the player of that attachment to the character, obscuring it behind dice rolls. And really, isn't immersion the point?
