Anyway, that’s not my point. I get the whole “DM is master of all domains” thing. I’ve been running D&D for 7 years. Trust me, I get it. And trust me, I don’t let them go from Hostile > Helpful with one roll. But the rules are there.
My point is 80% of the mechanics in D&D are for fighting. I’d like rules for non-fighting stuff that are just as fun, challenging, and rewarding for player AND DM as the combat rules.
