Every time you mention stuff like that, you're missing the point. The point is a good system can work FOR you ALL the time, not just some of the time. The point is a good system can make conflicts of ALL types interesting and rewarding, and ALL types can be represented in the game itself, not tacked on to the side.
The point is I love D&D and have for years, and really enjoyed what i've played of 4E. but that doesnt' mean we can't talk about how it can be better.
Have you ever looked at a system where the players have actual creative control over the world? Not just "if i make this roll and the DM is nice i'll have an effect on the world" i mean like REAL creative input. I have a feeling until people see systems that allow you to do that, to really understand what cooperatative storytelling can *really* be, i'm just going to be running in circles here.
