A pretty good series of games gets shelved because of piracy. :[

Speaking as a former pirate with ethics, that's how things have gone. I honestly can't be bothered to even warez the drek your sector of the industry shamefully makes a living producing, but CP taking longer to crack NEVER, not once, meant that i went "aw, shucks" and bought the game. GOOD GAMES meant i bought GOOD GAMES, but never did it have anything to do with the absence of a crack.
Why? Because you all have been really pathetic with demos. See, i have this thing about not buying shit sight unseen, and the past output of your industry are exactly why. Delayed cracks don't mean i buy the game, they mean i wait for the crack.
In fact, how about this? How about we do a study on how many games are SOLD simply because there wasn't a demo or some other factor preventing people from making a proper informed decision? How's that sound, Captain Ethics? Oh, but i'm guessing that devs just didn't have time to make demos or blah blah blah. I'm sure it's perfectly acceptable for OUR side to have some of OUR money go down the toilet because of unscrupulous bullshit like that.
