Now I'm not condoning piracy, but I don't exactly like getting burned for some shit a developer makes either. I don't know what the solution is for this really. Maybe they should get back to their PC roots and release shareware with full episodes that could almost stand on their own (Doom). Maybe they can allow people to play the full game but only allow patches to people who've paid (Stardock's GalCiv 2). Either way, I just don't want a fucking Black & White on my hands, and I hate waiting until long after a game's been released to figure out if it's any good.
TL;DR There needs to be a balance between preventing pirates and allowing legitimate consumers.
