The only issue i have with this game is it seems zoomed in a lot. like the FOV is really low. I dont know if they game was intentionally made like that or if it will be fixed in the final release hopefully it will.
People keep saying Crysis had better graphics but I think that's just nostalgia speaking. Have you gone back and played an unmodded Crysis or Warhead recently? The game does not look good by modern standards unless you bump everything up to max settings and if you do that, you get worse frames per second than you do in Crysis 2 on equivalent settings.
Guns feel great but their appearance leaves something to be desired. They all have that generic slick plastic pseudo-future look.
I think what I like best about it is that unlike most recent first person shooters, melee is not overpowered at all. You can just run up in someones grill and kill them instantly with a cutscene melee attack (lolkillzone3). It can take 2-3 melee hits to kill someone unless you actually sneak up on them. Stealth also has a hard counter in the form of Nano Vision, which most people haven't gotten used to using yet. I'm sure these aspects of the game will have console kids crying because if you've played Killzone 3 and Call of Duty online, you know that all they seem to want to do is "sneak" run around and 1-shot everyone with melee attacks. It's a first person shooter, not a first person puncher. I know you want to be like the cool ninjas you see running around in your animes deflecting bullets with samurai swords and karate chopping people in half, but at some point it gets to be ridiculous.
I was skeptical about Crysis 2 but the demo has sold me, I already pre-ordered the Limited Edition which gets you some nice bonuses at no extra charge. I just hope it has a strong community. People seem to be giving it a lot of negative feedback, most of which imo is undeserved.
TLDR: Give it a chance and hold off the bias, it's not bad.

The "Press start to begin" set the tone really.
And as I expected it looks worse than Crysis, granted I may not have been playing on the highest setting. Hard to tell what's the highest quality when your options are "Gamer" or "Hardcore".
