Think of how the PS2 enabled GTA 3, 360 enabled Oblivion, 486 enabled Quake... I'm still thinking of my answer :(

Obviously voice recognition would be even better, but hell, I just want something out there using some of the modern language processing tools, they're not perfect but waaaay better than in the 90s. Were the game designed with a loose script of linked data points which could be assigned to random characters with procedurally generated social connections...
Though it will be a while before something as neat as IBM's Watson hits the home.
