Think of how the PS2 enabled GTA 3, 360 enabled Oblivion, 486 enabled Quake... I'm still thinking of my answer :(

For example, DOOM had slow-moving rockets. Maybe you could strafe around those rockets, or catch them in mid-air with another weapon? Or shoot them out of the air? Either way, being able to see where they are in the z-axis means you'd be able to better interact with them.
I think faster, larger storage means we'll start seeing more detailed worlds that use larger textures or more detailed models that can be pulled off the hard drive and then dumped from memory very rapidly. This means we could have dynamic manipulation of the environment. For example, we've got "paint spray" type gameplay right now, imagine that on a larger scale; UT's goop gun that re-textures everything and marks it as painful?
I think all these things added together with motion tracking like a hi-fidelity Kinect means that we could have games where you directly reach out and manipulate 3D objects, or even the environment, in real-time, with other players. Maybe something like Minecraft except with clay, using your hands?
