Choose Your Own Apocalypse adds Dread Zone and Nightmare Zone to State of Decay 2, two new hyper-challenging areas.

Choose Your Own Apocalypse is a major update coming to State of Decay 2 on March 26. This new content looks to increase the difficulty for those players looking for more of a challenge surviving the end of the world.

Choose Your Own Apocalypse

The Choose Your Own Apocalypse introduces a few new zones for players to experience. The Dread Zone is a far more challenging area that includes armored hordes, super strong zombies, and a plague threat strength increase. Once infected, players will only have 30 minutes to save their characters, lest they succumb to the plague.

Beyond the Dread Zone, the Nightmare Zone awaits. This takes the difficulty of the Dread Zone and turns it up to 11. Instead of having 30 minutes to save an infected character, players will only have 10 minutes. This adds a whole lot more pressure to the survival situation, forcing players to make hard decisions when it comes to pushing forward and exploring or regrouping.

The Blood Plague Juggernaut will also make an appearance in Dread Zone and Nightmare Zone. This hulking behemoth was first seen in Daybreak and should add a bit more tension to scavenging. The State of Decay 2 update will also include more than a dozen new Achievements for those hunters out there to pursue.
