Less than a year after Focus Home Interactive rescued Spintires from its previous publisher Oovee and re-released the game under the name Spintires: MudRunner, the french publisher announced a sequel to the mud-laden logging experience dubbed MudRunner 2. The sequel appears to be losing the Spintires branding altogether, but the publisher promises that the series’ renowned mud physics and game mechanics will be making a return for the sequel. In an incredibly generic press release, Focus Home Interactive declared that MudRunner 2 will include additional features and enhancements.
The official announcement was light on details, though it was mentioned that Saber Interactive would be handling development duties once again. No screenshots or video accompanied the press release. Focus Home Interactive said that more information would be revealed in 2019 with the What’s Next de Focus press event.
