Guitar Hero Live GHTV additions for 12/15: Live Weezer show, Queen, and System of a Down

Not content to end the week with a feature update, Guitar Hero Live is still adding new GHTV tracks, including the Weezer live show from the Guitar Hero Live Launch Party.

Even with this week's feature update, Activision and FreestyleGames aren't quite finished updating Guitar Hero Live just yet. There's still the matter of the week's new GHTV content. That is being released today and it is headlined by a live Weezer performance, as promised back in October..

Weezer's live set from the Guitar Hero Live Launch Party includes:

  • Thank Goodness for Girls (Live)
  • Undone - The Sweater Song (Live)
  • Say It Ain't So (Live)

There are also two other premium shows coming to GHTV from Queen and System of a Down. These are three-packs of music videos from each band and they include:

The Champions

  • Fat Bottomed Girls
  • Hammer to Fall
  • I Want To Break Free

System of a Down Show

  • Aerials
  • B.Y.O.B.
  • Lonely Day

As is the case with all premium shows, they are available for purchase with in-game currency. Completing the show with three stars will unlock the songs for on-demand plays. Those looking not to spend even in-game currency can wait a few weeks for the songs to get added to the streaming GHTV channel rotation.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
