Now that Blizzard has unveiled Overwatch's latest hero, the publisher is showing just what he can do with a 7-minute clip of Lucio gameplay.

Blizzard danced to its own beat at Gamescom 2015 when it unveiled the latest combatant to hit the Overwatch arena. But while close followers of this team-based shooter have seen Lucio's abilities, now it's time to watch them applied in an actual match.

The brief seven-minute match shows Lucio demonstrate his powerful Sonic Amplifier weapon, while also switching back and forth between his two Crossfade abilities. One boosts his speed, while another allows him to hang back and recover health, as well as heal teammates. He often moves so quickly that enemies don't have time to react, but his healing abilities show him to be a more versatile character than the average scout-type.

Overwatch's beta is still slated to release this fall, even as Blizzard continues to tease its imminent arrival. Check out Lucio in action in the video below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
