Last year, Bethesda took Wolfenstein fans to a brave new world in which the Nazis were victorious and ruled the future with an iron fist. But before BJ Blazkowicz ventured forth to take on The New Order, there was still a matter of that whole adventure prior to the events in Castle Wolfenstein, back during World War II. Today, players get to live out that adventure in full and Bethesda is celebrating with a new launch trailer.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood takes Blazkowicz to the Nazi stronghold in Wulfberg, where Hitler's paranormal division conducted its experiments. As this may imply, Blazkowicz is faced with a number of paranormal abominations, as well as Nazis as far as the eye can see. All along the way, the gameplay mechanics of last year's The New Order appear to be completely intact.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
