There's been a lot of news coming out this week for the Total War series. But between all the tidbits about Total War: Attila and the mobile Total War Battles: Kingdom, maybe there's some concern that Total War: Rome II is being left by the wayside. Sega and The Creative Assembly are alleviating some of those concerns by announcing a whole new campaign for their historical strategy game called Wrath of Sparta.

Wrath of Sparta sees the conflict between the Spartans and the Athenians escalate to new levels, taking their battle across all of Greece, including the Greek Islands and the Ionian Coast. Meanwhile, the Persians will be waiting in the wings and will escalate hostilities against whichever faction comes out on top. The new campaign will include new Greek heroes, as well as new battlefield and naval units, wonders, and tech trees.

The Wrath of Sparta campaign will release on December 16 for $14.99. For more information on the new expansion, check out the video below.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
