DICE polling for Battlefield 4 balance adjustments

DICE is conducting a detailed poll to gauge interest in various balance adjustments for Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 4 continues to be plagued with a number of issues, as developer DICE continues to work on the game. The studio is now taking direct feedback from players with a poll to determine what feature and balance issue they should focus on next.

The suggested adjustments on the Battlefield Blog include added air defense for attack boats, increased damage for the engineer's FGM-148, nerfing the stealth jet's 20mm cannons, various minor adjustments to the fast attack craft cannons, and buffs to the MBT and IFV canister shells.

Each potential change has its own dedicated question for individual results, and so far the canister shells are running away with a staggering 85% of respondents approving the buff idea. DICE also welcomes more suggestions in the comments, so this may not be the last of direct polling that we see out of the studio.

        Yup, a heli with 2-3 engies = flying killing machine, unless someone gets lucky and hits it with an rpg.

        Engineer repair nerf already happened with the latest patch. A single engineer is very good, but not nearly as good as it was before.

        Scout maneuverability is fine, as-is. That bird is meant to be lightweight and a paperweight. With the dual speed engineer repair, they were super fast AND nearly impossible to remove from the air. Now that they will definitely be brought down easier, they need to keep their maneuverability.

        The repair tool has a cool down so you can't spam it and the Scout has low armor. I can't tell you how many times my buddy and I have been easily shot down in a Scout while I was repairing.

        If anything, the Anit-Ait Tank needs to get nerfed as it's near impossible to get near one while flying and ground infantry can't get close enough to do damage. Engineer rockets don't do much either if the Tank has the protective barrier equipped.

        Scout heli is fine right now after the patch. It's 1 hit kill with rpg and sraw even with 2 engy.

          I was playing the other night on Silk Road, and I fired (and hit) 5 stingers in a row It didn't bring it down.

            Stingers don't do a lot of damage overall and you should be baiting birds to pop flares with the stinger in the first place. Even with the nerf, dual engineer repair, against a single stinger barrage shouldn't bring it down (3x people vs. 1).

              I hit it with every shot, 5 times in a row. The guy didn't even pop flares, just kept buzzing around like it didn't even damage him.

          in the beta. they fixed it over time. here is some weird shit going down with missing sure hit scenarios with the rpg for example. many don't use single hit/high damage weapons now and opt for a high frequenzy rapid fire weapon.

      No mention of attack chopper buffs or better physics for it. I feel like I can't get it to dive anywhere near as fast as I could in BF3.

        diving is easy - it's pulling out of the dive that's fucking garbage. The transport heli is more maneuverable than the attack choppers, and that's bullshit.

      I hate to be that poster but, could they make the game as good as Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3? Hit detection and general balance just kind of turn me off of playing this for very long.

        Repair resources should only regenerate for engineers when they have their feet on the ground, or something like this. Without repairs the LB is still a pain in the ass, but at least somewhat easily downable. Right now a high class pilot + 2 engies is very much the most annoying thing in the game.

          The choppers are what made me give up playing BC2 for a long time. Atacama Desert with a good chopper pilot can suck me.
