Animal Crossing Direct coming in October, new content in November

Nintendo announced an Animal Crossing Direct as well as teased new content coming before the end of the year.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the game we all needed in 2020. It was a beacon of light in an otherwise miserable time, and while times aren’t quite good yet, what remains good is this game. And to that end, players can expect more good news out of the Animal Crossing Direct happening this year.

During the Nintendo Direct on September 23, Nintendo announced that there would be an Animal Crossing Direct full of announcements this October. The short teaser also revealed that there would be some new content coming in November for the beloved game. Of the new content, the video hinted that The Roost would be opening for business!

Not much more was revealed in the teaser, which makes sense given the bulk of the information will be shared during the Animal Crossing Direct. There’s no date set just yet, but viewers at least know some delightful reveals will be happening in October.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has done quite well for Nintendo since its release in 2020. The game managed to sell some 31 million copies as of February this year, and despite a slowdown in sales since then, remains one of the most popular game son the platform.

As an incredibly popular game, it’s great to see it receiving more content beyond the seasonal events. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the exact date and time of the upcoming Animal Crossing Direct.
