Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak DLC announced for 2022

A new DLC was revealed for Monster Hunter Rise during the latest Nintendo Direct.

The September 23 Nintendo Direct opened with the reveal trailer for the first major DLC expansion coming to Monster Hunter Rise. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a paid DLC and will launch in the summer of 2022.

Nintendo opened the September Nintendo Direct with an announcement for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. We see a new location, and get a look at some monsters soaring through the skies. Nintendo revealed additional details about the upcoming DLC. “The expansion will include newly added stories, locales and monsters, as well as newly added hunting actions and quest rank.

Sunbreak is said to be a “major” expansion, adding a ton of content to the already expansive RPG. Capcom hasn’t revealed any specific details about where Sunbreak the story, or named any of the new monsters being introduced, but those will come at a later date.

Monster Hunter Rise was released for the Switch back in March of this year. The game received some rave reviews, including ours here at Shacknews.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will launch as a paid DLC in the summer of 2022. During the September 23 Nintendo Direct, we also learned about Bayonetta 3 and the Super Mario Bros. film.
