San Diego Comic-Con is the biggest annual event in the world of comic books, and this year's festivities are just about to get started. Some of the industry's hottest talents, including comic authors as well as movie and television celebrities, will be in attendance at SDCC 2019, and to stay on top of the action, fans need the essential details. Here's all the must-know information about when San Diego Comic-Con 2019 kicks off, including dates and times plus details about badges and badge pickup.


San Diego Comic-Con 2019 | Start and end dates and times

This year's San Diego Comic-Con 2019 will run from Wednesday, July 17 all the way through Sunday, July 21. The event's Preview Day will be held on Wednesday, while the convention itself will be open from Thursday through Sunday, July 18-21 in the San Diego Convention Center.

Beyond the two events scheduled for preview day, attendees will be able to enjoy countless different presentations from celebrities, artists, publishers, and more throughout the rest of the convention. Most events take place between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Pacific time throughout the week, though others, such as the world premiere of The Banana Splits Movie on Thursday, will run later though the night.

The final SDCC 2019 events are wrap up at 5 p.m. on Sunday, signaling the official end of this year's convention. Be sure to make your plans accordingly. Interested attendees can find the full schedule of events featured on the official Comic-Con website.

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 | Badge Pickup

Many of this year's SDCC attendees will have ordered their badges online. If that's the case, it should hopefully have arrived in the mail by now. If not, there are always opportunities to pick up your badge on-site.

It's worth noting that Tuesday badge pickup is for international attendees only. Domestic attendees can pick up their SDCC 2019 badges started on Tuesday. For everyone else with daily tickets, badge pickup will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Just be sure to bring a valid photo ID card as well as badge confirmation details over to the registration area in the Sails Pavilion.


This year's San Diego Comic-Con is running from Wednesday, July 21 through Sunday, July 21. The bulk of the events and presentation will be held between Thursday and Sunday, so be sure to make your plans and pick up your badges accordingly.
