Good news for Overwatch fans: Though the Anniversary event for 2019 is just about over, the folks at Blizzard are giving the festivities one final push by offering up a double XP weekend.

From June 6 through June 10, Overwatch players on any platform will be able to enjoy double the usual amount of experience points simply for playing. The end of the double XP weekend coincides with the end of the Anniversary event, so for anyone yet to jump into the action, now is the perfect time.

Having kicked off on May 21, the Overwatch Anniversary event 2019 offered players the chance to score all manner of in-game goods. These include new skins, sprays, dances, and various other cosmetic items — to say nothing of the six new Legendary skins and three new epic skins offered for Baptiste, Wrecking Ball, and Ashe.

As for actual gameplay, fans have a chance to check out different daily brawls through the game's arcade mode through June 10. These new offerings also notably include the Storm Rising PvE mode that was introduced into the Overwatch Archives in April.

PC players will also note that Overwatch Replays recently became available in the public test realm. Even if players aren't too keen on Anniversary-themed festivities, they can still hop in for a few games, earn some extra experience, and check out how the Replays function works.

With the Anniversary event coming to a close, now is the perfect time to check out what's new in Overwatch and earn easy double XP in the process.
