Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will get free exclusive Splatoon 2 cosmetics
The free Online Jersey and Online Squidkid V shoes will be provided exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers opting for a 12-month plan.
Nintendo is slated to launch the Switch's own online service, quite functionally known as Nintendo Switch Online, tomorrow. Ahead of its proper debut, the team at Big N are prepared to roll out some special treats to Splatoon 2 players, including two free and exclusive cosmetic items.

The cosmetics are called the Online Jersey and Online Squidkid V shoes, and players can get a look at them above. Featuring distinct Nintendo logos with just the right amount of sigature red pop, the cosmetics will be available to any Nintendo Switch Online subscribers on October 3. There's just one catch: players must have bought in to a 12-month subscription, with both solo and Family packages being eligible for the promotion.
Switch Online subscribers will also note that download codes for the Splatoon 2 cosmetic items will be doled out via e-mail, and code availability seems tied to the type of account held, with family account holders eligible to receive up to eight different codes.
In addition to tomorrow's launch of Nintendo Switch Online, Splatoon 2 players can also look forward to the latest upcoming Splatfest.
