How to thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite

Everything you need to know to thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite.

Being polite is always the best policy, whether that’s in public or at home in private, and especially when preparing a dive out of a bus at 10,000 feet before doing battle with 99 other people. In an update last year, Epic added the ability to thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite, and you’ll need to do just that if you want to complete one of the challenges in this year’s 14 Days of Summer. Here’s everything you need to know to thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite before you head off into the sunset.

How to thank the Bus Driver

Thanking a bus driver in real life isn’t complicated, and neither is thanking the bus driver in Fortnite. Players on PC can hit the B key to thank their friendly driver while those who use a controller will need to press down on the D-pad. The only condition is that you’ll have to be on the bus, once you leap out and start diving down, it’s likely going to be too late for any polite acknowledgments.

Make sure to thank the Bus Driver before you jump out of the bus!

That’s all you need to do. Just tap the correct button based on your platform, and you’ll see your name pop up on the left-hand side of the screen stating that you’ve thanked the Bus Driver. Now, all we need is Epic Games to add the ability to sing, Hail to the Bus Driver, and then I’ll be truly pleased.

Now that you know how to thank the Bus Driver in Fortnite, you can check out some of the other challenges available in the 14 Days of Summer. Make sure you know how to find beach party locations and even where to find giant beach ball locations. You can also make your way back over to our Fortnite guides hub for more help completing the latest challenges available.
