State of Decay shambling out in June

Open-world zombie apocalypse survive 'em up State of Decay will launch in June, developer Undead Labs has announced. A PC release will follow later. The studio established by ArenaNet co-founder Jeff Strain also lurched forward with a new trailer clutched in its outstretched arms, showing off snippets of life after undeath.

Terraria surfaces on Xbox 360 and PS3 next week

The console editions of delightful dig 'em up Terraria will launch next week, publisher 505 Games announced today. "Oh, pssh, sure, a digging game, like we're not awash with Minecraft clones already" you scoff, person I imagined for rhetorical effect. Hold your tongue! The 2D Terraria, which set PC gamers swooning in 2011, is a far more action-y take on making holes in the ground, with fine weapons to craft and honking great bosses to kill.

Secret Ponchos swaggering onto consoles

If you fancy yourself something of a rootin', tootin', whip-crackin', quick-drawin', hard-ridin', sassin', sarsaparilla-sippin', wild-westin', justice-dispensin'... sorry, where am I? Right, video games, yes. Oh! Yes. Indie posse Switchblade Monkeys has announced Secret Ponchos, a multiplayer top-down gunfight 'em up aiming for a download release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year.

Runner2 trailer heralds this week's launch

Gaijin Games has been curiously coy about the launch of BIT.TRIP Presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, having confirmed only the PC edition's release date prior to this morning. Still, it's spoken up now, revealing that the sequel to BIT.TRIP RUNNER will hit Wii U alongside PC tomorrow, then dash onto Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday. The PS3 and Vita editions will follow a bit later. Hey, there's a new trailer too, come watch!

Spelunky XLBA DLC packs add new explorers, arenas

If procedurally-generated levels in Spelunky aren't variation enough for you, you can now buy DLC packs for the XBLA edition to add more characters to go exploring with, from robots to vikings, and a load of new crafted deathmatch arenas in which to murderise your chums. Released on Wednesday, they only cost a tidy 160 Microsoft Points ($2 each).

Darkstalkers Resurrection dated for March

With love in the air and catgirls on its mind, Capcom today announced that revamp double-pack >Darkstalkers Resurrection will arrive for download in March, hitting PlayStation 3 on the 12th and Xbox Live Arcade on the 13th. Bringing jazzed-up versions of the original Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors and Darkstalkers 3, it'll cost $15.
