Kingdom Come: Deliverance confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One

As Kingdom Come: Deliverance continues to draw dollars galore on Kickstarter, Warhorse Studios has announced that its medieval open-world RPG will indeed be coming to next-gen consoles. The developer had previously mentioned hopes for a next-gen release as well as PC, and now it's formally confirmed for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It's also shown off a grand hour of gameplay.

Open-world RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance launches Kickstarter

When Warhorse Studios announced its realistic medieval open-world RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance in December, it seemed to still have trouble securing a publisher. So blow that! The studio founded by folks including the creator of Mafia today launched a Kickstarter so it can finish the game and self-publish. It's looking for $500,000 to prove to an investor that people are interested before the moneymen will pony up the rest.

Open-world realistic RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance announced

Warhorse Studios announced its existence back in 2011, starting with a small team including the creator of Mafia and other folks from Mafia as well as Arma, and teasing the sort of things one would expect from such people: open worlds and realistic settings. After a lot of peeks here and there, Warhorse has finally announced its first game, an open-world RPG set in the Holy Roman Empire and named Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
