While I had no problem with how Mass Effect 3 ended Shepard's story, Citadel is a more formal—and wholly welcome--farewell that doesn't insult the finality of what's come before it chronologically and through the narrative. Bravo, BioWare.

Today, PS3 owners will be able to get their hands on a long-awaited port: the original Mass Effect. We had a quick test of the retail version of the game, just to see how the Edge of Reality-developed port stands up.

You'll have to start a brand new campaign to access any of the new content for XCOM: Enemy Unknown's "Slingshot" add-on. Considering how great the core game is, that's not really a bad thing.

When I first encountered Guild Wars, it was creating a reputation for itself as one of the main alternatives to World of Warcraft, offering a similar experience without the crippling monthly fee. Guild Wars 2 represents a major step forward for NCsoft and ArenaNet, completely stepping out of WoW's shadow and firmly planting itself as the new standard for MMORPG's.

Age of Conan developer Funcom has jumped back into the MMO space with The Secret World. However, I have reservations as to whether this game can sustain a monthly subscription model.
