New releases for June 30-July 6

Summer is in full swing and that means there isn't a whole lot in the way of new releases. After its release on PC last week, Sniper Elite 3 comes to consoles, while Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition also hits next-gen consoles and Child of Light arrives on Vita. New releases for June 23-29

The Steam Summer Sale may be rolling through, but that doesn't mean there aren't new releases coming this week. And they're some pretty notable titles, too! Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark concludes the Cybertron trilogy, while Shovel Knight brings the retro goodness, Sniper Elite 3 cracks some skulls, and Company of Heroes 2 invades the Western Front with a new standalone expansion. June kicks off in the spirit of comradery. Grab some friends and jump into the world of WildStar, which leads the parade of PC releases this week. If you're more of a loner type, perhaps you'd rather solve the mystery of your own murder in Murdered: Soul Suspect or make some virtual friends in Tomodachi Life. And if you're the type that would rather beat your friends up, Ultra Street Fighter 4 arrives for those that already own the previous incarnation of Capcom's one-on-one fighter. New releases for May 26-June 1

May is closing down with some heavily anticipated releases. After a lengthy delay, Watch Dogs finally arrives on many platforms. The Wii U is not among them, but if you own Nintendo's console, you also have a huge release coming this week in the form of Mario Kart 8. Other releases of note include the next episode of The Wolf Among Us, the PC version of ibb & obb, and the classic Final Fantasy III on Steam. New releases for May 19-25

It's time to take a look at this week's new releases and there are quite a lot of them. The upcoming slate of games is led by Bethesda and MachineGames returning to World War II with Wolfenstein: The New Order. PC players will also get their chance to sink their teeth into Tropico 5, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II, Always Somtimes Monsters, Project Temporality, and Killer Is Dead - Nightmare Edition. It's time for action with this week's new releases! Super TIME Force leads the way on Xbox One and Xbox 360, as Capybara introduces a new army of time-manipulators into a 2D run-and-gun formula. PC is getting an onslaught of games, led by Battleblock Theater, The Last Tinker: City of Colors, and Chronology. Borderlands 2 makes its debut on Vita and Mega May continues on 3DS. The first full week of May is here to remind you that baseball season is in full swing when the long-awaited PlayStation 4 version of MLB 14: The Show takes the field on Tuesday. PC players will get Age of Mythology: Extended Edition, along with Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure, which should arrive without any further delay. There's also God of War Collection on Vita, Bound by Flame, Sportsfriends, and more! This upcoming week is filled with a smorgasbord of fine games coming to various platforms, whether it be Trials Fusion on PC, Octodad: Dadliest Catch on PS4, NES Remix 2 on Wii U, or The Walking Dead: Season Two on Vita. But let's face it, people. If anyone's followed this site and its community for any amount of time, you know that there's only one new release that matters. That's right. This is the week that Dark Souls II arrives on PC.

If you're playing Final Fantasy XIV on PS3, this is the week to finally move over to PS4, as Square Enix's MMO makes the jump to next-gen this Tuesday. If trying (and failing) to make daring motorcycle jumps is more your thing, Trials Fusion will ride in this week on consoles. PC players won't get it until next week, but they have plenty to choose from this week, with Wargame: Red Dragon, War of the Vikings, and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood among the many PC games set to arrive. In the middle of the earth, in the land of the Shire, there's a brave little Hobbit whom we all admire! And on Tuesday, LEGO The Hobbit brings Bilbo's Lego-fied tale onto PC and most consoles. This week also sees the official release of the free-to-play Ghost Recon Phantoms on PC, while Bigby Wolf continues his investigation in the third episode of The Wolf Among Us. Kinect Sports Rivals brings next-gen sportiness to Xbox One, but if that isn't your cup of tea, you can launch yourself into space for Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut on both Xbox One and PS4. And finally, the wait is over for Xbox 360 owners, as this is the week that Titanfall drops down. All this and more, after the break!

New release Tuesday just happens to fall on April 1 this year, but this week's slate of games are no joke. The Major League Baseball season kicks off with MLB 14: The Show on PS3 and Vita (along with the free-to-play Rusty's Real Deal Baseball on 3DS), while the Dark Knight revisits his post-Arkham Origins adventure with Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe. Diablo III continues its story on PC this week with the long-awaited expansion Reaper of Souls finally arriving. Those not so much into the Diablo thing can pick up Mercenary Kings from Tribute Games. Console gamers will receive Fez on PlayStation platforms, while BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will arrive on North American shores months after releasing overseas.
