New releases for July 14-20

The list of new releases remains somewhat thin.

The summer dry spell continues, as the list of new releases remains pretty slim. The main draw may very well be the reissue of Shantae: Risky's Revenge, the new Abyss Odyssey, and Neil Gaiman's debut gaming venture, Wayward Manor, on PC, but there isn't a whole lot to get excited about beyond that.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Whoever redesigned shacknews should be fired immediately, this whole site looks horrible. It seriously looks like a 5 year old design it.

I don't get the hate, but then again I can't tell the difference between $300 jeans and the $15 ones at Walmart.

In this current state, the $15 jeans have holes and unmistakable stains of bodily fluids. And really the other pair of jeans was a serviceable $30 pair.

        dota

I kind of want to re-play mass effect since I'm itching for something scifi but I can't do it since they ripped the controller support out of the pc versions

Why would they remove controller support? wtf?

'ripped' is probably the wrong word. A console game doesn't support controllers on the pc.

wtf is up with that? f you EA.

I'm sure there is some reason like "we didn't want to QA the PC version twice with different controls" but it still irks me

I've played ME through 3 times on PC and once on 360, and the PC controls were far superior to a controller.

but world cup + family in town, I've been here a fair amount and still haven't seen anyone mention it, though. Not any threads talking about how awesome the game is, expect more when a game that fun gets the potential play it deserves.

This new interface is REALLY BAD.
It uses way more space to bring way less information, wich makes it harder to read too. <------
      And it also looks horrible.
