Hit me with your best Divinity: Original Sin 2 builds

I recently got back in to Original Sin 2 ahead of Baldur's Gate 3 this year and I'm looking to try something new and silly.

It's a big year for Larian Studios. If all goes as planned, we should see Baldur's Gate 3 launch this year and I'm hugely excited for that. So excited that I decided to pick Original Sin 2 up again. I'm starting a new campaign and I'd like to try out some interesting builds in the game, so I thought I'd ask the community about it. Have you come up with anything cool, silly, or ridiculous? Help a fellow adventurer out!

For the record, my go-to has been Ranger builds. I particularly liked the Wayfarer start because of the combination of Earth/Poison magic and the ability to ignite it with elemental arrows. I combined that with the perk that lets me have a chance of recollecting my magic arrows and Pet Pal for talking to animals. I could be convinced to try on a melee build, but I'd probably lean more towards creative magic builds if possible. I was bouncing back and forth between Battlemage, Witch, and Metamorph before I came here, but I certainly know you can mix and match as you please, so I wondered what y'all used.

I usually go with the Red Prince or generic Lizard because I like Spellsong and their Source power, but I could also go a different way in that regard.

What say you friends? What kind of classes/party were you rocking if you played? Would absolutely love to see what other people came up with before I launch into a campaign to complete this game ahead of Baldur's Gate 3!

Playing this co-op got me through lockdown but boy of boy, the bit where my guy hooked up with the skeleton in the party was pretty fucking funny.

Wish I could remember what I used for my solo tactician run.

Was some kind of near permanent invis/buffed teleporting dagger elf nonesense that would practically one hit everything. Probably abused summons (heard they got nerfed).

That sounds like a blast. Maybe Rogue with Lone Wolf (boosted stats when solo) and Guerrilla (40% extra damage from sneak attacks)?

        Either way, sounds fun.

      Warfare + Necromancy

put enough points in Necromancy that you get 100% of your damage back as health. I didn't love the necromancy skills, but putting the points in it as a warrior makes him a nearly unkillable tank.

Oooooh, yeah, Necromancy had me thinking of going Witch for a bit, but I can totally see where you could make a straight-up berserker build with it.

Dragon, hard spec into Pyro, some Geo, a teeny bit of Scoundrel for Adrenaline and a teeny bit of Huntsman for Tactical Retreat.

Oh, and The Pawn, and Elemental Affinity (respectively, one free movement and reduces cost of ability by one if you're standing in it).

I specced into the above and it was awesome. Activate Adrenaline, have 6 AP. Dragon fire breath someone for 1 AP and step forward into the fire. Fireball for 1 AP. Laser Ray for 2 AP. Fire Whip for 2 AP.

        Now that's a lotta damage!

That sounds like an incredibly fun and destructive pyro mage build. Also, it uses a lot of stuff I like already. Wouldn't be hard at all to shift over a step and learn new synergies.
