We all keep our energy up for work in different ways. Some have routines. Some have coffee. I have those too, but music is the thing that helps me out when I really need a driver to keep the words flowing. With that in mind, I thought I'd share a go-to song from my work week this week: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Shadow Man Stage remix.
Composed by Yusuke Takahama, this is a high-energy cover of Shadow Man's theme from Mega Man 3. I always loved the energy of this stage's music. It's was so hype for the fact and that stage was ridiculous too. Shadow Man is built like a ninja, I think? But there's lava, big jumps, long falls, and this hype theme playing over it all.
The Smash Ultimate orchestral is fantastic. The guitar carries attitude in it, the keyboard is absolutely wild in this, and there's an extra bit of the chorus that makes this really stand out to me among Smash Bros. remixed music. When I'm slumping, but don't really have time to get up to get a coffee or pick-me-up right away, I go to this song. I even found a 30-minute looping version of it that is perfect for putting on and forgetting about as the energy carries me through an article. Here, enjoy!
But don't take my word for it. As an extra bonus, you can put the music on and then let Mega Man himself rock out to it. I went and found a version of him that matches up pretty well to the beat. Look at him go!
And that's my musical pick for the work week. Hope you enjoy. Any particular tracks you've been using to push your way through the work week? Share em! I'd always love to add more tunes to my library.
