I am thinking about going to your fair city the first week of November. I want to see the Sexy Liberal Show at the Orpheum on Nov. 2 and I'm debating on how long to stay.
Anyway, I've stayed at The Line a couple of times, and I really enjoyed it (location location location), but I am wondering if there are any other higher end hotels I should look at. I'm not talking about staying at the Ritz or anything, but something more on the boutique side. I've looked at VRBO and AirBNB, but I've read so many horror stories, I am reluctant to stay at one. They don't really cater to single travelers anyway. Borzoi turned me on to The Line. I think I would like to stay downtown (the Orpheum is downtown), closer to the beach, or up the the Hollywood Hills somewhere. Any ideas?
The Sexy Liberal show, btw, is a lot of fun. I've been to four of them so far. I generally don't like being in an echo chamber with my politics, but these folks are hilarious and it's always fun. Mark Hamill is going to be a guest on a panel they have at the end. The others are Stephanie Miller, John Fugelsang, Hal Sparks, and Frangela. https://sexyliberal.com/ for anyone else who might be interested in this. Last time I went, they had Rob Reiner and Stephen Stills on the panel. I got to meet both of them afterwards at the meet and greet (that's extra) and I've met Margaret Cho as well. Also got to meet and talk with Glenn Kirschner, who is a regular on MSNBC.
