YouTube influencer 'Markiplier' signs with the talent agency that represents Eminem and Ben Affleck

The online star has more than 15 million subscribers and over 6 billion views.

Mark "Markiplier" Fischbach signed with talent agency WME, the same entity that represents celebrities such as Ben Affleck and Eminem.

At 27 years old, Fischbach has more than 15 million YouTube subscribers and has accumulated over six billion views. He specializes in Let's Play videos punctuated with curse words, sound effects, and other emotes.

The report came from Variety, who speculated that Fischbach signed with WME in order to lay groundwork for an entertainment career outside of YouTube videos. "I want to push myself into music and acting — more traditional media stuff," the YouTube star told Variety earlier this year.

Fischbach began branching out before signing with a talent agency. He affiliates with Revelmode, a collaboration between Disney's Maker Studios and Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg that produces original scripted series and games.

You think he's gonna get into rapping? He doesn't look like he'd make for a good Batman.

Oh she knows she could never hold onto him. Twitch streamers step off the airplane into swarms of augmented mid-20 year olds... like the PGA.

I saw a video about a twitch streamer who tabbed out of his game and briefly navigated to one of his document folders, and the audience spotted a bunch of child porn video files.

Dunno if it was this guy, but it might have been.

I watched a few of his videos when he was just beginning, mostly VR horror stuff at the time. He seems (and everyone seems to confirm that he is) genuinely nice and great. His focus has shifted to more LOUD yelling, and more aimed at a younger audience. But apparently he's one of the biggest Youtubers right now, so it seems to have worked out for him, so props to him

So, overreacting and making retarded faces while playing horror games can pay off? Hmmmm. Good to know.
