YouTube personality 'TmarTn' issues apology for lack of transparency in CSGO Lotto
After expressing his undying love for his subscribers, Martin attempted to set the record straight.
Trevor Martin, better known by his YouTube handle 'TmarTn,' issued an apology on his channel for not being more forthcoming about his involvement in CSGO Lotto, a gambling company that lets players pay real money for a chance to win modified weapons in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO).
After expressing his undying love for his subscribers, Martin attempted to set the record straight. "Now, my connection to CSGO Lotto has been a matter of public record since the company was first organized in December of 2015," he said. "However, I do feel like I owe you guys an apology. I am sorry to each and every one of you who felt like that was not made clear enough to you. I truly, honestly hope that you guys give me an opportunity to earn your trust back.
The scandal began after Martin and another YouTube personality, Tom 'ProSyndicate' Cassell, uploaded videos in which they placed bets in CSGO Lotto and won major prizes. Another YouTuber, 'HonorTheCall,' uncovered legal documents revealing that both men are the presidents and founders of CSGO Lotto, casting doubt on the legitimacy of their winnings and their motivations for promoting the site.
Cassell wrote notes in the description boxes of his videos that the content was "sponsored" by CSGO Lotto, but did not disclose his involvement with the company. Martin uploaded a video on July 4th acknowledge his place in the company only to delete the content later.

Gambling is gambling, but these guys were presenting themselves scoring MAD CASH FOR FREE THANKS CSGOLOTTO! vs presenting themselves as the owners of the site.
What they needed was some sort of "this is an advertisement" disclaimer, similar to what you'd see in a print add. They could have easily done that and ran as many fake ads as they had wanted to and still made insane amounts of dollars.
But nope. They're douchemobiles and just engaged their jet doucheengines.

Dude is sleazy as fuck. Also I'm pretty sure not disclosing it in the moment is what makes it illegal. -

It's kinda interesting how this event had a minor impact on his subs for only a single day:

OK, the last two days also had negative sub numbers, but we're talking extremely low percentages.
Are his apology and explanation videos monetized too? That'd be really great. -
