HTC Vive: AltspaceVR Town Hall - Asif talks to Cymatic Bruce

Asif and Cymatic Bruce had a chance to chat during the AltspaceVR Town Hall yesterday.

AltspaceVR is a cross-platform communications application for virtual reality. Their lead product evangelist, Cymatic Bruce, held a town hall yesterday in virtual reality and I had a chance to ask him a few questions.

    Good read. Alt space is interesting but I have a hard time getting behind it as a medium for done reason

      I think their biggest problem is with scaling.

  One of the main problems to be overcome is body language and cues that you get from looking at someone's face. Without that, the social aspect doesn't seem like it would be any better than just voice chat.
  
  I like the idea of VR tabletop gaming though.
