Battlefield Hardline makes a clean 'Getaway' in January

Not to be overshadowed by its fellow Battlefield (or even by Battlefront), Battlefield Hardline has some new content on the way in January.

Let's continue with "Battlefield" for $500, Alex. While DICE issues the latest update for Battlefield 4, Visceral Games isn't calling it quits on Battlefield Hardline just yet. The latest round of DLC, titled "Getaway," was announced yesterday, which will add some more heisting action to EA and Visceral's cops and robbers game.

The major addition will be a new game mode called "Capture the Bag," which is fairly self-explanatory. Getaway will also add four new maps: Pacific Highway, Double Cross, Train Dodge, and Diversion. These maps will take players across the western U.S., specifically near the Mexican border. Four new vehicles will be along for the ride, as will new weapons for the Mechanic and a new gadget and melee weapon.

Battlefield Hardline's Getaway expansion will reach Premium members first in January. Those that choose not to opt into the expansion still have something on the way in the form of a new update that will add in new weapons and patches. For more information on Getaway, check out the Battlefield website.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
