Bandai Namco and From Software have announced Dark Souls 3 will released in the US on April 12, 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Dark Souls 3 will receive two different editions for those planning on picking the game up. The Day One Edition is priced at $59.99 and includes the game, a Prima Starter Guide, the game’s official soundtrack, and an exclusive O-sleeve. Dark Souls 3 Collector’s Edition is priced at $129.99 and will feature the game, guide, and soundtrack as well as an official art book, a cloth game map, a 10-inch Red Knight Statue, and a collector’s box.

Does the game actually offer a completely HUD-free mode?

I mean, it'd be for insane people, but I'd at least enjoy watching it.

Dark Souls 2 did. Not sure about Demon's or Dark 1.

Searching on Google, it says March 24, 2016 is the release date. I'd assume it's for the Japanese version as Bandai Namco has said the game will launch in April.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear DS3 was coming to PC. I added its platforms in the opening paragraph.

Don't worry, PC players. We'll get our turn to die horribly in Dark Souls 3.

awww i was hoping that Demon's Souls tease was going to have some meat to it when the Bloodborne twitter account included Demon's Souls in a recent tweet

I don't think it makes much sense to release it between the new Bloodborne expansion and Dark Souls 3. That said, no Demon's Souls side cover I've seen has that plain text. It's certainly suggestive.

I want more of the Dark Souls 1 pace. Is this more like how the speed of bloodborne?

        December 4, 2015 11:17 AM

No, the pace of combat moves similarly to that of the Souls games.

I know some who loved the Souls games didn't love Bloodborne, but I wonder if the opposite will happen. Bloodborne was the first Souls game I got into...and it might be my GOTY. But when I tried to get into DS2 remaster on PS4...I couldn't D:

Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2 are almost polar opposites in their design so it's not really surprising if people don't like both. I'm definitely a member of Team Bloodborne. Dark Souls 2 has a few good ideas but it just felt like a B-team effort.

Based on what I've seen so far, Dark Souls 3 seems to be settling around Demon's Souls in terms of gameplay speed (Demon's is a little faster than Dark Souls) but more deliberate than Bloodborne. I'm cool with that.
