Mass Effect Andromeda teaser goes up for N7 Day

Today is N7 Day and for this year, BioWare uploaded a teaser for the next game in the Mass Effect series.

Bioware first declared N7 Day to be the day after the release of Mass Effect Trilogy. The day has continued on and for this year's N7 Day, BioWare has released a new teaser for the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda.

There's no gameplay footage or even a glimpse of the game's new character in this teaser, but what it does have is a message from Commander Shepard. Shepard (the female incarnation of the character) delivers her inspiring speech that essentially passes the torch to the next main character of the series (and also to the player at home), which should lead into the series' future.

Think of this less as a glimpse into the future and more of a goodbye to the past. To hear from Shepard, possibly for the last time, check out the video below. Happy N7 Day!

For as much as I didn't like ME3 (as a whole, not just the end) I am really excited for Andromeda. Hearing Shepard's voice again gave me chills though!

That was surprising. Is this the same Shepard as the original trilogy?

Brought up elsewhere on chatty was that it is the same Shepard, but it might just be a recording/message to whoever the protagonist is in Andromeda, having left it for him/her before the end of ME3.
