TGS 2015: Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps will help usher in series' 20th anniversary

Resident Evil celebrates its 20th anniversary next year and Capcom is celebrating by revealing a new game set to hit next year.


Capcom is preparing to celebrate Resident Evil's 20th anniversary, so that means that in addition to the remasters that are already in the pipeline, the publisher is looking to inject some new blood in the series. That's where Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps comes in, which Capcom is billing as a "competitive shooter." Announced during Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference, the game is set to hit next year.
