Disney Magic Kingdoms builds Disney parks on mobile devices

Disney Interactive is looking to give players a chance to build their own Disney park on their mobile device, revealing a new mobile game called Disney Magic Kingdoms.

Disney Interactive also had some news on the mobile front as part of its D23 Expo presentation. The publisher has been working on a slew of mobile games, but stopped to unveil one of the mobile department's biggest projects to date. Working in conjunction with Gameloft, the team unveiled Disney Magic Kingdoms, which would offer a new way to look at the Disney theme parks.

The idea is to recreate some of the most familiar Disney sights by creating a Disney theme park from scratch. Along the way, the iconic Disney villains will be looking to inject their own flavor into the proceedings.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
