The Marvel Cinematic Universe's second phase is films is slated to end this weekend with the arrival of Marvel's Ant-Man. So with the tiny hero set to hit the big screen, Gazillion is ready to include him in the Marvel Heroes 2015 festivities as the game's 49th playable character.

Ant-Man will bring along his insect-based powers, a first for the game. Just as in the movie, the mantle will be represented by Scott Lang, though Hank Pym variants will also be available. He can craft ant constructs and summon hundreds of the little critters to do his bidding. He can make his way across levels atop flying ants, as well as shrink to help him get by enemies without being noticed. And of course, Ant-Man's more powerful attacks allow him to turn the Pym Particles the other way and allow him to grow to gargantuan proportions.

The latest Marvel Heroes 2015 update will also introduce some other additions, including the Sam Wilson version of Captain America as a Team-Up character. On top of that, a vote has opened up on the Marvel Heroes 2015 forums to determine a future playable character, with the choices down to the villainous Green Goblin, X-Men sorceress Magik, the Kamala Khan version of Ms. Marvel, Nick Fury, the Miles Morales version of Spider-Man, and the Wasp.

Marvel Heroes 2015 is free-to-play and available now.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I gave it a try and was completely overwhelmed by it all. I completed a story mission and then headed outside to look around, and got caught up in a world event that nearly instantly levelled me to 10 and gave me more, better gear in a matter of seconds than I did throughout my couple hours in story mode.
