Square Enix has a special surprise for Dragon Quest fans today. The classic sixth game in the series and final installment of the Zenithian trilogy, Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation, is making its way to mobile devices today. Though the game was first released in Japan on the Super Famicom back in 1995, it did not find its way onto North American shores until 2010 when it hit the Nintendo DS.

For those that don't remember the story of Dragon Quest VI, the adventure follows a young Hero that sets out on a quest across the world and through the dangerous phantom realm. The Hero will recruit companions along the way, while mastering a slew of abilities. Players can also recruit and battle Slimes via the Slimopolis, with winners receiving rewards. Then there's the Slippin' Slime mini-game, which has been added for a little bit of levity.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation is available now on iOS through the App Store and on Android through the Google Play store for $14.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
