E3 2015: Unravel comes together later this year

A yarn-based miniature doll is far from home and is lost in the outside world. Unravel is his journey home.

Electronic Arts continued its E3 2015 press conference by revealing a new physics-based puzzle-platformer called Unravel, from developer Coldwood Interactive.

Unravel centers around a yarn-based character named Yarny, who finds himself far from home and must find his way across the treacherous conditions of the outside world. Yarny slowly unravels as he wanders along, so he must pick up additional yarn pick-ups to keep going. He can also use his own yarn substance to latch onto different areas, swing around, and reach new areas.

Unravel is set to release later this year.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
