E3 2015: Recore is a new game from Mega Man creator and Metroid Prime devs

Microsoft unveiled a new IP at their E3 2015 media briefing, showing a new collaboration between Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune and the developers of Metroid Prime.

Microsoft dropped a bombshell by combining two unexpectedly great tastes during their E3 2015 Media Briefing. Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune will be joining forces with the team behind Metroid Prime to introduce a whole new world that sees a young woman travel an alien planet with her trusty mechanical companion.

The brief demo showed the main character running afoul of some enemies, who took out her mechanical dog. However, she simply took the core and re-inserted it into a dormant droid to bring her friend back to life in another form.

Recore is coming in Spring 2016 as an Xbox One exclusive.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
