Transistor makes the jump to iOS today

Supergiant Games has a pleasant surprise for fans of their games. Transistor has made the leap out of nowhere to iOS devices and it's out right now.

Supergiant Games came out with a special surprise today. Their acclaimed second game, Transistor, has made the jump to iOS, thanks to a special collaboration with the people at Confetti Games.

Those that have played Transistor may have noticed something of a different interface from Supergiant's first game, Bastion. That interface, as well as the game's controls, have been fully translated for iOS devices.

Transistor was a big hit here at Shacknews and was among our favorite games of 2014. Those looking to experience it for the first time on iOS can pick it up from the App Store as a universal app for $9.99.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
