Sony Flash Sale marks down Mass Effect Trilogy to under $5

You officially have no excuse not to play the Mass Effect trilogy.

7

Sony is hosting yet another Flash Sale for select titles across all of its consoles, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.

A number of PlayStation 3 titles have been marked down, which includes the complete Mass Effect Trilogy, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, and Darksiders for $4.80. There are also several PlayStation 4 and Vita titles on sale, such as Trials Fusion, The Wolf Among Us, and The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season for under $5.

If you’re looking for something new to play this weekend to pass the time for The Witcher 3, these prices are pretty sweet, especially if you still haven’t played the Mass Effect Trilogy. Getting all three games for under $5 is absolutely mind-blowing. Whether or not you like RPGs, you can’t at least try Mass Effect at that price.

Ni No Kuni is also 5 bucks. Is it any good? i really dont like JRPGs but every now and then ill give one a shot, even though it usually just reminds me why i dont like them. I remember some buzz about it, but looking at it, i can say i really hate the art style and im not sure i could get past that.

Is this the one that had the really interesting combat , with getting to choose your risk/reward or whatever?

do not listen to this guy. He is wrong. Ni No Kuni is totally worth $5, and is quite enjoyable. It's the closest to a Dragon Quest game on a modernish console.

It's pretty. It looks like Studio Ghibli remade Pokemon.
I liked some of the voice work, too.

Buuuuttt.... it was kinda dull and grindy. I never finished playing through it.

No, the combat in this game is balls. It's realtime with 3 characters, but the AI on the other 2 members is fucking atrocious, so they need to be constantly babysat.

If they made a sequel and fixed the combat and terrible grindy monster-catching stuff, it'd be a much better game.

It's got a great aesthetic and soundtrack though.

I wish there was a way to skip the combat.

I am a massive jrpg fan and I love the companies involved. But I just couldn't get into it. It just took a really long time to get going.

I put in over 100hrs into it, it's worth $5 BUT... the combat is mediocre, has it's issues with defending attacks as your allies are AI controlled there is a delay.

        It's fun, especially at $5.
