Nintendo offers Splatoon Wii U bundle at Best Buy

Nintendo is very serious about Splatoon, so much so that they're giving their newest first-party effort its own Wii U bundle.

Nintendo is throwing a lot of marketing muscle behind its newest first-party effort, Splatoon. Aside from giving the game its own set of Amiibo, it looks like Nintendo will be offering up a Splatoon Wii U bundle for Best Buy customers.

The bundle will include a black 32GB Wii U, a download code for Splatoon, and Nintendoland pre-installed. The full listing can be found on BestBuy.com, with the bundle expected to be made available both in-store and online. Both the bundle and Splatoon are set to release on May 29.

The bundle could be something worth looking into for those that have yet to pick up a Wii U, but buyer beware. The Wii U only holds 32GB and a lion's share of that hard drive space will be used by the included games, so perhaps invest in an external hard drive before making any purchases.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
