Mastering of Ninjutsu takes years of dedication and practice. That doesn't always apply in video games, but still, one can't jump into the ninja world blind. That's why Devolver Digital is offering up a little ninja practice with a new demo for their upcoming turn-based action platformer, Ronin.

Ronin (a solo effort from developer Tomasz Waclawek) follows the story of a mysterious female warrior seeking out vengeance against five members of a powerful corporation. She'll have a number of tools at her disposal, like her katana blade and her razor wire. Of course, this is a game about being a stealthy ninja, so she'll also have tools like a grappling hook and a holographic replicator to keep her in the shadows.

The demo will contain three levels. Those that like what they see can pre-order Ronin for 10 percent off the original $12.99 price tag. A special edition will contain a digital comic and full soundtrack and come with a $19.99 price point. Ronin is set to release next month and is available for pre-order now on Steam.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
