Humble Origin Bundle 2 re-introduces Origin games for charity

Electronic Arts is offering a handful of its best games as part of the latest Humble Bundle, one that will offer up a number of Origin games with proceeds going to charity.

Humble Bundle normally offers bundles of games that can be redeemed on Steam. For the next couple of weeks, the company will be going in a bit of a different direction. Thanks to a collaboration with Electronic Arts, Humble Bundle will now be offering an Origin bundle, the second one in its history.

That means players can pay what they want for Dragon Age: Origins, Peggle, Dead Space 2, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest, and Command & Conquer: Generals with the Zero Hour expansion. Paying more than the average will offer up Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Dragon Age II, Bejeweled 3, Mass Effect 2, and more games to be named later.

All proceeds from these bundle sales will go towards the Girls Who Code, The V Foundation, and buildOn charities. All of these games will operate on Origin, though Dragon Age: Origins, Dead Space 2, Bejeweled 3, and Mass Effect 2 will also offer Steam keys with a minimum $1 donation. The Humble Origin Bundle 2 will run through April 28.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
