Update 2: Square Enix is promising more information on Wednesday morning, with the Deus Ex Twitter accounting pointing to the Deus Ex website.

Update: Regardless of where the Twitch stream is going, it looks like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is, indeed, happening. Game Informer has it as their May cover story and indicate that the game will be set in 2029, two years after the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Original Story: Given that there's a lengthy stream from Square Enix still happening right now on Twitch, there's a good chance that they didn't ask for this. A leak has revealed that the next chapter of the Deus Ex series is in development and will go by the name Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

A batch of screenshots was discovered by the detectives at NeoGAF. The screens show a returning Adam Jensen, along with some new futuristic environments and detailed new weaponry.

There's little else to go on, but that aforementioned Twitch stream is still… going… very… slowly. Look for confirmation to likely come from that… eventually.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
