Sega and The Creative Assembly are continuing to roll out new content for Total War: Rome II. Today, they've deployed a new patch, as well as the game's latest batch of DLC called Black Sea Colonies.

The Black Sea Colonies pack adds Cimmeria, Pergamon, and Colchis to the roster of playable factions. Each of these factions will bring along their own sets of traits, as well as unique units and buildings. Cimmeria fights with spear and shield units, while gaining wealth from agricultural buildings and boosting multiculturalism. Pergamon can hold front lines with elite defenders, while entering the game with reduced building costs and town growth boosts. Finally, Colchis has heavily-armored units, while also boasting a trade income boost.

Those looking for something less expensive can update Rome II with the newest patch to receive the playable faction of Massilia for free. Massiilia is a trading-state of Greek colonists along the northwestern Mediterranean coast, adopting Gallic culture and fighting techniques.

The Black Sea Colonies DLC is available now on Steam for $7.99.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
